Research: Muscovites' gadget spending to rise to 2% of income in 2025
MOSCOW, Aug 21 (PRIME) – Muscovites’ spending on digital devices will rise to 3.1% of their income by 2025 from 2% in 2017, or 38,000 rubles, online classifieds service Avito said on Tuesday in a research conducted jointly with the Moscow IT department.
Four out of five Muscovites had smartphones in 2017, while only every third had it five years ago, and 8% of the people used fitness trackers and smartwatches in 2017, the research showed.
Almost half of expenses of the capital city’s citizens was presented by smartphones and mobile phones in 2017 against 26% in 2010.
Virtual reality devices were owned by 2% of Muscovites in 2017, and 17% of the citizens used e-books.
The share of spending on laptops rose to 17% in 2017 from 12% in 2010.
